Justin Dill writes from Toronto, Canada, where he also works as a copy editor and releases music under the name Bloo Burds. His stories have appeared in The Dread Machine, The Common Tongue, and Augur Magazine. In his downtime, he subsists on a steady diet of horror movies, psychedelic pop, and matcha lattes.
James Downe
James is a writer and designer in Toronto, Ontario. Raised on Lego, Nintendo, fantasy books, and tabletop role-playing games, he has been creating worlds for as long as he can remember. He is the author of Salt & Cinder, Sisters of Jade, and Sorrow & Shroud. His work has been published in Resident Alien, and has short stories in the anthologies Lone Wolf, Swords for Hire, and Legacy: A One-Shot Anthology of Speculative Fiction.
Alex Dunne
Alex Dunne is an Irish author living in Canada. She spends her time thinking up fantastical tales for children, teens, and adults and drinking far too much tea. Don Miasek
Don writes from the centre of the universe, also known as Toronto. He has edited for TDotSpec and written a few short stories. Denise Rio Murphy
Rio has written several non-fiction articles over many years in feminist and Zen publications, addressing social and wellness issues.
Some of her published short stories in her zany Sci-fi and Horror bent have appeared in Polar Borealis, Outsiders, and Wight Christmas. She is working to polish off her novel about a dysfunctional family in a lost pre-history world that is just about to have its reset button pushed.
Laura Nettles
Laura is a California girl living in Toronto, Canada. She works in the film industry lighting visual effects during the day, and writes into the night. Shadows are her specialty. Since learning about NaNoWriMo, she has been hooked on crafting atmosphere and worlds through the written word. Her fingers run rampant with sci-fi and horror, creating shadows of the mind and supernatural creatures. She has over 30 stories published.
Y.M. Pang
Y.M. Pang, or Michelle, spent her childhood pacing around her grandfather’s bedroom, telling him stories of magic, swords, and bears. Her fiction has appeared in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, and Strange Horizons, among other venues. She has been a finalist for the Aurora Award and the WSFA Small Press Award.
She dabbles in photography, moonlights as a submissions editor with tdotSpec, and often contemplates the merits of hermitism. Despite this, you can find her on Twitter as @YMPangWriter.
Peter G. Reynolds
Peter is a writer and documentary filmmaker from Toronto, Canada. He began writing children's stories when his son was born in 2009. When his son Griffin turned five, he asked "where do lost things go before they're found?". Like any good father, Peter answered, "to a magical world that contains all lost things."
This was the inspiration for Lost Hallway. When not writing Peter can be found performing improv comedy. He is currently busy working on Musings and Other Nonsense, a weekly podcast of children's stories and poems as well as a second installment of the Lost Hallway series and a YA science fiction novel. Whew!
Danny F. Santos
Danny F. Santos was born North of the wall in Toronto, Canada. When not running for his life from White Walkers, he writes fantastic stories in far-off lands or far-off futures. Or far-off lands in far-off futures. He's currently writing a 7-book fantasy epic called the Aeonlith Series. He is the proud owner of a 22-pound cat named George, who is a bit more Wookiee than feline at this point.
Unfortunately, George doesn't make a good co-pilot when trying to escape the Empire in a YT-1300 Corellian light freighter. Danny F. Santos still lives North of the Wall in Toronto, Canada. It's cold, and there are wolves after him.
David F. Shultz
David F. Shultz writes fiction and poetry from Toronto, ON, where he runs the 1000+ member Toronto Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers group, and is Lead Editor at TDotSpec Inc. and Speculative North magazine. He is greatly appreciative of his readers, including his 6000 followers on Wattpad. David holds degrees in cognitive science, philosophy, law, and education.
Rebecca Simkin
Rebecca Simkin brings a lifelong passion for fantasy to her writing. After spending her career in fundraising for non-profit organizations, she now writes epic fantasy novels and volunteers with the Sunburst Awards for Canadian Literature of the Fantastic. Rebecca’s diverse experiences infuse her work with themes of compassion and understanding, heroism and care for others.
H. C. Siregar
Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, and currently residing in Toronto, H.C. Siregar has always been interested in Creative Writing, History, and Vintage Fashion. A. M. Todd
A.M. Todd is a Canadian author who currently lives in Toronto. Her first novel, CITY OF SENSORS, combines noir and science fiction in a near-future detective story (published by NON Publishing). Her writing has been awarded grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Toronto Arts Council, as well as an honorable mention in the Writers of the Future Contest.
She completed her Ph.D. in English literature at the University of Toronto. Her short fiction has appeared in Breath and Shadow, Kaleidoscope, Scare Street, and After Dinner Conversation.
Tim Windling
Timothy (Tim) Windling was born and raised in London, Ontario. He writes speculative pulp, bouncing between science-fiction and fantasy. When he isn’t writing, you can find him playing guitar or video games, watching too much YouTube, or reading a book. Currently, he hosts ‘Breakfast Sprints’ for the Toronto SFF Writer’s Group online.
He still resides in London.
